rather than reset the hitcount, it would be good to set a date cutoff using either absolute or relative time: {tracking-table:period=2006-Jan-01}

or

{tracking-table:period=from 2006-Jan-01 to 2006-Jan-31}

or

{tracking-table:period=1 month} {tracking-table:period=60 days}

(year(s), month(s), week(s), day(s), hour(s))
or

{tracking-table:period=current year}

(current / previous / last | year / quarter / month / week / day / hour}

or even better for charting, to group results by 'page', 'space' as is currently availab,e but also by time factors such as 'year', 'quarter' 'month' 'week' 'day'.
