We have encountered two issues that prevent the saving of entered {table-data} for Internet Explorer users:
1. If a Scaffolding-based template contains {table-data}, and you add rows to those tables and specify data (it doesn't matter whether you just created the page or go back to edit the page), the data doesn't get saved into those tables when you save the page. You either have to edit the page again and specify the data again within the rows you previously created and save the page again, or you have to do a trick when you had the page open the first time whereby you add the rows you need, navigate to "Edit Layout" mode, navigate back to "Edit Data" mode, specify the data you want, and then save. This doesn't sound easy or intuitive for end users.
2. If a Scaffolding-based template contains {table-data} and you add rows to those tables and specify data (it doesn't matter whether you just created the page or go back to edit the page), and then you click on the "Edit Layout" button and then on "Save" to come back to "Edit Data" mode, you lose any changes you made to any of those rows. You basically cannot edit the layouts of Scaffolding-based pages without saving any changes you may have applied to {table-data} first. But as described above, you can't do that unless you use one of the two tricks described in # 1.
These issues do not occur for us in Mozilla Firefox, but unfortunately I cannot change what is the standard Web browser for our 40,000+ employee company.
Thus, we will be unable to leverage the Scaffolding plug-in for any Wiki page templates we design until these issues are resolved.
If you attempt to save your changes in a Scaffolding-based page to which you have also added {table-data} rows and values, and the save fails because of a validation error (even if unrelated to the {table-data}), all {table-data} row values that you entered are reset back to their original defaults.
