Display card containing #anchor automatically

 Description  « Hide
If an anchor is contained inside a hidden card or a cloaked section, the anchor doesn't work any more. This is particularly evident with generated TOCs and headings in cards. It would be great if you could just click on an anchor link and have the relevant card/cloak displayed.

It would be nice if this worked both for local anchors (<a href="#whatever">) and URL-specified anchors (http://myurl.com/display/SPACE/Page#whatever).

Perhaps Behaviour will help here. Otherwise, a test to see what the #value is when determining the default tab?

This would be extremely useful for our recently released Footnote Plugin

Could I add my request to this proposed improvement. It would greatly improve the usage of the cloak macro as at the moment I am finding I have to use alternatives to the cloak macro all to often.

The ability to link to anchor points within a different tab would be a great addition.

Thanks.

Ideally, you could link from another page to:
  • a particular card in a deck (have it open to that tab) — eg, with {show-card} add a 'page' parameter along with 'deck' and 'card'
  • cloaked content (have it uncloak automatically) — right now when you link to an anchor within content cloaked using {toggle-cloak}, it doesn't display.
